30 Hour Famine - Friday & Saturday April 27-28, 2012
Join us at an over night "camp-out" packed with live music, guest speakers, games and activities! Area Junior and Senior High School students are encouraged to attend - and bring a friend or two! The only thing missing from this action packed event is FOOD. For 30 Hours we will be fasting and raising funds and awareness for those suffering from starvation. And to top it off... you get to build a Box City that we will all sleep in over night. (Tip to first-timers, bring duct tape - and lots of it.) This year the event will be taking place at the First Baptist Church (Aledo). More details to come, contact Jake & Kandi Frieden if you have questions or would like to attend, volunteer or donate. [Pre-Famine Party will be held at the Aledo YMCA the last weekend of March - MORE DETAILS TO COME.]
Generation Change (Teen's Finance Study created by Dave Ramsey, taught by the Friedens) - TBA
This class will be offered to young adults to teach them the importance of financial responsibilities and being good stewards of what God has blessed us with. Contact Jake & Kandi Frieden if you are interested.
Service Days - TBA
Jake and Kandi Frieden will be organizing opportunities for area youth to reach out and serve those in our community that are in need of a little help. Projects will range from painting, yard work, serving food or helping out with other programs. Check back for more details or contact the Friedens if you are interested.
